Međunarodna izvođačka skupina PAARA-DOX dio je ugledne TLCDC-Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company, odnosno grupe indo-suvremenog plesa poznatog indijskog koreografa Terencea Lewisa. Ova plesna grupa, s impresivnim iskustvom od čak dvadeset i dvije godine, stiže vam iz srca grada Mumbaija s izvedbom pod nazivom INDRADHANUSH – indijska duga.

Događaj je organiziran u suradnji s veleposlanstvom Indije u RH, Ministarstvom kulture i medija RH, Hrvatsko-indijsko društvo, Indijskim vijeće za kulturnu razmjenu te TZ grada Pule, Zagreba, Samobora te Istarskog narodnog kazališta.

INDRADHANUSH – indijska duga

INDRADHANUSH je hindska riječ koja u prijevodu označava dugu. Sloj po sloj, djelo razotkriva suštinu raznolikosti koja čini Indiju. Iako rijetka pojava, duga svojim nastankom nebu daje čar kakvu malo što može. Tako Indija, poput duge, nastoji donijeti svijetu nešto izuzetno, jedinstveni spoj sedam primarnih elemenata koji su indijski zaštitni znak – ljubav i senzualnost, misticizam sa svojom dualnošću, gdje ostajemo ukorijenjeni u kulturi i tradiciji, ali se granamo kako bismo obuhvatili suvremeni svijet, gdje se bogata raznolikost njeguje te gdje je sve obavijeno u živost boja.

Izvedba na pozornici oživljava umjetničku interpretaciju ovih sedam elemenata.

Poput sedam boja indradhanushe, odnosno duge, iako isprepleteni u jednu divnu cjelinu, svaki element poseban je na svoj način.

Hibridno djelo Indradhanush predstavlja zanimljiv spoj različitih plesnih stilova.

UMJETNIČKI DIREKTOR

Dr. Terence Lewis ugledni je indijski koreograf i član žirija u televizijskoj emisiji. Popularno je poznat kao Guru suvremenog plesa, a zbog karizmatične osobnosti, smisla za stil te pronicljivih prosudbenih vještina omiljen je među polaznicima plesnih tečajeva, ali i u široj javnosti. 2019. godine nagrađen je počasnim doktoratom iz plesa Nacionalnog instituta za znanost i obrazovanje (National Institute of Education and Research) u New Delhiju, a također je i trostruki pobjednik Guinnessove knjige rekorda! Terence Lewis prvi je Indijac kojem je dodijeljena Dance WEB stipendija u Austriji, a njegov plesni institut Terence Lewis Professional Dance Training Institute, u svoje dvadeset i tri godine postojanja, zajednici je podario najbolje plesne zvijezde u zemlji

PRVI ČIN

NAMASTE – DOBRODOŠLI U INDRADHANUSH

Uvodno djelo topla je dobrodošlica, u indo-suvremenom obliku. Iz dinamičnog dočeka prelazimo na prikaz tipičnog tradicionalnog indijskog seoskog života – dok muškarci pozdravljaju Sunce vježbajući jogu, djevojke nose posude s vodom i peru kosu u rijeci. Čin završava ljubavnim duetom koji nas podsjeća na priču o vječnoj ljubavi Radhe i Krišne… a legenda kaže da će ona uvijek doći k njemu, kada god on zasvira svoju flautu.

DRUGI ČIN

BOJE INDIJE

S preko trideset narodnih plesova i osam klasičnih plesnih oblika, od kojih svaki ima svoje jedinstvene kostime i glazbu, Indija uistinu postaje mjesto kulturnih raznolikosti!

Sada vas vodimo na putovanje ovom veličanstvenom zemljom, dajući vam samo uvid u njezinu bogatu raznolikost kroz mnogobrojne folklorne i klasične plesne forme. Od sjevera sa svojim prekrasnim klasičnim oblikom Kathakom, do obala juga s borilačkom vještinom Kallaripayetu te klasičnim Bharatnatyamom; da bismo vas zatim odveli u zemlju Punjab koja je karakteristična po živopisnom Bhangru te potom i na pustinjski pijesak Rajasthana čiji se narodni ples Ghoomar spaja s Gujarati Garbom i Dandiya Raasom!

LAAL ISHQ’ – KAMASUTRA

Umijeće ljubavi

Među rijetkim blagom indijskog naslijeđa nalazimo Knjigu ljubavi –  Kama Sutru.

Napisana od strane filozofa Vatsyayane, Kama Sutra slavi senzualnost i umjetnost vođenja ljubavi u svim njezinim oblicima. Uzmimo stranicu iz Knjige ljubavi i doživimo Laal Ishq, odnosno Crvenu ljubav, u umjetničkoj izvedbi u obliku suvremenog indo plesa.

ČETVRTI ČIN

AGHORI – SHIV SHAKTI

Sada otkrivamo drugu stranu duhovnosti, okultizam, koji crpi svoje moći iz mračnih sila. Aghoris – ova mistična sekta poznata je po svojim ekstremnim ritualima. Vjeruju da samo poniranjem u tamu smrti i izvan nje, mogu konačno doći do svjetlosti kroz samospoznaju. Za Aghorije, groblje je njihov dom, oni također prakticiraju egzorcizam i žrtvuju životinje. Zastrašujući na pogled, ali iznimno moćni, za njih se također kaže da mogu izliječiti bilo koju bolest, te su štovatelji božanstva Shive – razarača zla. Također vidimo uvid u dualnost muškog i ženskog unutar Shive i avatara Kaali Maate – božice uništenja. Ovaj komad je oda Aghorima dok prizivaju Shiv Shakti (snagu Shive).

(PS- Ovo djelo je samo umjetnička izvedba s dužnim poštovanjem prema svim sektama i sentimentalnostima.)

PAARA-DOX – the International Performing unit of the 22 year old, much reputed TLCDC- Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company, comes to you from the heart of Mumbai cit, with INDRADHANUSH – the Indian Rainbow.

INDRADHANUSH -is a Hindi word meaning ‘Rainbow’.  The piece unveils layer by layer the essence of the diversity- that is India .

A Rainbow is rare, but when it appears, it adorns the skies like nothing else can. Thus India, like the Rainbow- seeks to bring to the world something rare, a unique blend of 7 Primary Elements that is the Indian trademark – Love and Sensuality, Mysticism with it’s duality, where we stay rooted in Culture and Tradition but branch out to encompass a Contemporary world, where it cradles rich Diversity, and wraps it all up in a splash of Color and Vibrancy!

The performance brings alive on stage the Artistic Interpretation of these 7 elements. -like the 7 colors of the Indradhanush (Rainbow) – each distinct yet beautifully woven together.

A hybrid piece, *Indradhanush* presents an interesting cross pollination of various Dance styles.

DIRECTOR

Dr. Terence Lewis is a renowned Indian Choreographer and TV show Judge. He is popularly known as the Guru of Contemporary Dance and is loved by the masses as well the classes for his charismatic personality, sense of style and his astute judging skills. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Dance by the National Institute of Education and Research, New Delhi in 2019 and is also a 3 time Guinness Book of Records Winner! He is the first Indian to get the Dance WEB scholarship in Austria and the 23 year old Terence Lewis Professional Dance Training Institute has given to the community the best dancing stars in the country.

Piece 1-

NAMASTE- WELCOME TO INDRADHANUSH

The opening piece is a warm welcome, in the Indo- contemporary form. From a fast paced welcome it then opens into a typical traditional Indian village scene- as the men salute the Sun with Yoga and the girls carry water pots and wash their hair in the river. It ends with a Love Duet, that reminds us of the eternal love tale of Radha and Krishna….and legend says that in every age, when he plays his flute she will always come to him.

Piece 2-

THE COLOURS OF INDIA –

With over 30 folk dances and 8 classical Dance forms, each with its own unique costumes and music, India truly becomes a melting pot of cultures!

We now take you on a journey of this majestic land, giving you just a glimpse of it’s rich diversity through its multiple folk and classical Dance forms. From the North with it’s beautiful classical form- Kathak,  to the shores of the South with the martial art of Kallaripayetu and then the classical Bharatnatyam ; to then take you to the land of the Punjab with it’s vibrant Bhangra and then onto the desert sands of Rajasthan with it’s folk dance, Ghoomar blended with the Gujarati Garba & Dandiya Raas!…

LAAL ISHQ’- KAMASUTRA*-

The Art of Love

We find amongst the rare treasures of Indian heritage the Book of Love – the  Kama Sutra .

Written by the philosopher Vatsyayana, the Kama Sutra celebrates Sensuality and the Art of Love making in all it’s forms. Let’s take a page out of  the Book of Love , and experience Laal Ishq (Red Love)- in an artistic rendition in the Indo contemporary dance format.

Piece 4-

AGHORI- SHIV SHAKTI-

We now unveil the other side of  Spirituality, the Occult, which draws it’s powers from the dark forces. The Aghoris-  this mystical sect is known for it’s extreme rituals. They believe that only by plunging into the darkness of death and beyond, can they finally reach the light through self realization. For the Aghoris, the cemetery is their home, they also practice exorcism, and animal sacrifices. Terrifying to look at, but extremely powerful, they are also said to be able to cure any illness, and are worshippers of Lord Shiva- the Destroyer of Evil.  We also see a glimpse of the duality of the male and female within Shiva  and the avatar of  Kaali Maata- the Goddess of Destruction . This piece is an ode to the Aghoris as they invoke the  Shiv Shakti (the strength of Shiva)

BOLLYWOOD BLAST – FINALE WITH TERENCE LEWIS

In a power packed finalé, we now bring you the universally loved and the global rage – Bollywood. With it’s own unique flavor, it blends perfectly together varying dance and music influences, from the east and the west.

Adding to the spice is Terence Lewis himself, after having rocked stages the world over, coming live at you, making sure that this will be an evening you will never forget!
