Razloge njegove dana\u0161nje vitalnosti u Hrvatskoj i regiji mo\u017eda bi se moglo tra\u017eiti u \u010dinjenici da je tu ve\u0107 na samim po\u010decima djelovao Andrija Maurovi\u0107, autenti\u010dni strip genijalac. Svi autori koji su slijedili, morali su uzeti u obzir njegov rad, a on je odmah postavio najvi\u0161e kriterije u crta\u010dkom i narativnom smislu. Zamjerali su mu melodramati\u010dnost predlo\u017eaka koje je obra\u0111ivao, a on sam \u017eudio je da ga se prizna kao slikara. Njegovi stripovi prodavali su se u desecima tisu\u0107a primjeraka, no pristupa u galerije i muzeje nije imao.<\/p>\n<p>Danas je situacija potpuno druga\u010dija. Strip je sveprisutan u galerijskim prostorima, ali tira\u017ei rijetko prema\u0161uju petsto primjeraka. Napu\u0161teni su melodramatski \u017eanrovski obrasci, a strip se pokazao medijem prikladnim za najrazli\u010ditije izri\u010daje, od lirskog, apstraktnog, autobiografskog, pa sve do dokumentarne reporta\u017ee. Sve spomenute izri\u010daje na\u0107i \u0107emo u djelu Helene Klako\u010dar, akademske slikarice i jedne od najaktivnijih strip autorica u Hrvatskoj. Ona nije \u010deznula da je se prizna slikaricom, to se podrazumijevalo. Strip za nju nije bio tek izvor zarade, nego odabrani medij umjetni\u010dkog izra\u017eavanja, u kojem suvereno djeluje ve\u0107 \u010detrdesetak godina. A da se radi opet o genijalki, potvr\u0111uje i me\u0111unarodni uspjeh njezinih radova.<\/p>\n<p>U tom kontekstu treba sagledati njen novi strip, dokumentarnu reporta\u017eu <em>El Shatt, fragmenti<\/em>. Teme migracija i mora, prisutne u njenim ranijim knjigama <em>Nemirno more<\/em> i <em>Zid Mediteran<\/em> dominantne su i u ovom stripu. U <em>Nemirnom moru<\/em> radilo se o Heleninoj osobnoj sudbini u periodu raspada Jugoslavije. <em>Zid Mediteran<\/em> izvje\u0161tavao je o spa\u0161avanju afri\u010dkih izbjeglica od strane posade broda <em>Andrija Mohorovi\u010di\u0107<\/em> u recentnom migrantskom valu. <em>El Shatt<\/em> obra\u0111uje veliku temu iz Drugog svjetskog rata, spa\u0161avanje civilnog stanovni\u0161tva Dalmacije (pa tako i dijela Helenine obitelji) preseljenjem u Egipat.<\/p>\n<p>Strip za Helenu dakle nije \u0161ala, radi se o ozbiljnim, va\u017enim temama. To ne zna\u010di da u njenim stripovima nema humora. Naprotiv, puni su duha. U naraciji, ona \u0107e prona\u0107i ono \u017eivotno, mali za\u010dudni fragment koji \u0107e zazvoniti istinito i autenti\u010dno, i time nadi\u0107i suhoparnost dokumentaristike, ponekad optere\u0107ene faktografijom. Ali ono \u0161to \u0107e posebno uzdi\u0107i njezin rad fascinantan je crta\u010dki talent. Pri tom ne mislim na tehni\u010dku stranu crte\u017ea, dokumentarnu to\u010dnost uniformi, brodova i sli\u010dno, pa \u010dak ni na besprijekornu kompoziciju prizora i tabli. Mislim na emotivnu stranu crte\u017ea. Pogledajte njezine likove, dok ih sudbina raznosi kroz strip. Pogledajte kako se pona\u0161aju, kako govore, njihove geste. Prije svega, pogledajte im lica, o\u010di. Mo\u017eda \u0107ete ugledati ono \u0161to mene od po\u010detka privla\u010di u Heleninom radu, ono \u0161to je \u010dini posebnom i iznimnom. Izlagala je samostalno i grupno na mnogim izlo\u017ebama u zemlji i inozemstvu. Njeni stripovi bili su objavljivani u <em>Poletu<\/em>, <em>Vidicima<\/em>, <em>Heroini<\/em>, <em>Mladini<\/em> i dr. U multimedijalnoj grupi ZZOT je sa suradnicima spajala strip i animaciju u prostorne instalacije te su zajedno gostovali na umjetni\u010dkim festivalima po Europi. Najve\u0107i samostalni uspjeh postigla je strip-dnevnikom <em>Nemirno more<\/em> u kojem bilje\u017ei svoje putovanje katamaranom u Gr\u010dku, a koji je na festivalu u Angoul\u00eameu nagra\u0111en kao najbolji strani strip-album. Osim u Belgiji i Hrvatskoj knjige <em>Nemirno more 1 i 2 <\/em>objavljene su u Srbiji, Sloveniji i Italiji. Sudjelovala je u strip projektu <em>MojStrip<\/em>\u00a0 i na mnogim strip festivalima u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu. Kra\u0107e strip pri\u010de tiskane su u \u010dasopisima <em>POSE <\/em>(Amsterdam) i <em>Noord<\/em> (Tilburg). U Hrvatskoj je tiskano pet njenih knjiga pri nakladniku VEDIS, a Recentna, <em>El Shatt \/fragmenti<\/em> tiskana je pri Umjetni\u010dkoj organizaciji Javni prostor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STIPENDIJE I NAGRADE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2023\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;
